A fantastic season was topped off with a deserved cup win on the Neston 3G. We started the game a bit nervy but grew into it and had a 10-15 minute spell where we really should have gone in front. Raiders then came back into it and were outnumbering us at times in the middle and Harry made a great save to keep it 0-0. Then right on half time we didn’t clear a corner and raiders went 1-0 up. At half time we didn’t need to panic but changed things around to give us more bodies in the middle and went to a back 3. We started positively and deservedly equalized when Tom J curled in a great free kick. We had the momentum at that point and Lewis found space on the left before finishing well to make it 2-1. Now we were well on top and Lewis got his second to make it 3-1. Raiders went for it a bit but we defended very well and the icing on the cake came when Tom J got his second with an absolute beauty of a free kick late on to make it 4-1 and the game was won.
